Dr. Amanda Della Penna attended veterinary school at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bethany College. Dr. Della Penna has worked in the Pittsburgh area most of her career. It has been her long-time dream to start Family Vet Care Center. Having spent the majority of her career in emergency medicine, it is Dr. Della Penna’s goal to bring the high level of skill and care needed in the ER into private practice to benefit your pets on a daily basis.
Dr. Della Penna’s special interests include surgery, emergency medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, and preventative medicine. In her free time, Dr. Della Penna enjoys snowboarding, nature, watching Pittsburgh Penguins hockey and The Ohio State Buckeyes football team. She has three cats, Dante, Giuseppi, and Julius.
This is Bianca. She’s the face behind our social media accounts. She is the Director of Marketing & a Veterinary Technician at FVCC. Bianca graduated from The Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh in 2012. She has worked in both Emergency Medicine and General Practice in her career as a tech. She has had fur babies all her life but now is waiting to find the perfect pet to join her family! Currently she lives in South Park with her boyfriend and their son Kason. In her free time she enjoys crafting, bargain hunting & spending time with her little family. She can’t wait to meet you and your pets!
This is Christa. She has been a veterinary technician since 2004. Christa has spent the last 6 years in emergency medicine and is excited to be back in general practice. She lives in Butler with her husband and their 2 boys. Their four legged babies are made up of 4 dogs and 2 cats. Christa says she’s beyond excited to be part of the FVCC family and to meet you and your furry family members! When she can, she loves spending time on a beach and reading.
This is Becky. She is the Hospital Director and a vet tech at FVCC. She has been in the veterinary field for 18 years. She has worked in humane societies with animal rescue and small animal veterinary hospitals with animals of many kinds. Becky has a strong interest in canine and feline behavior and how it affects their owners. She lives with her husband and her two sons. Her fur babies consist of two dogs, Daisy and Turbo and she also has Petrick, her Comet Goldfish. In her free time, she enjoys reading, camping with her family, and baking.
This is Erich. He is the Medical Services Director and a veterinary technician at FVCC. Erich graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in 2008 and has spent the last 11 years working primarily in emergency medicine with a special interest in exotic companion animal medicine, but is happy to now be a part of the FVCC family. He resides with his beautiful wife and daughter, 6 snakes, 4 lizards and 5 cats, oh my! In his free time he enjoys time outdoors fishing, hiking and observing nature.
